The lobster has broken free from its tight shell and is growing ever exponentially. As it carries the bottle filled with the anecdote, it learns that even though growing can be painful it has always made it through ok. It returns the glass container to the tide pool where it was first left as a plea to ask for help from the ocean. This painting was created as a part of an ocean series and is a companion piece to “Octopus and Anecdote” and “Sea Witch.”
